Class: Ultimate Prong Ring, 9:00am-4:00pm
An advanced project that is part of Dale's ‘Ultimate' class series, this design takes
the classic prong ring to new levels of skill, beauty, and sophistication!
Each student will select one faceted stone from those provided to accompany their class kit and then discover new geometric construction techniques while creating a pronged ring.
Every student will make two settings, almost guaranteeing that they will wear one finished ring out of class.
Interactive class discussions and demonstrations will include: choosing the right stone for the right ring style and finger size; how to properly measure and weigh faceted stones; the differences between wire gauges and tempers used for wire ring designs; how to use ring sizers and mandrels that do not match; pricing your work for profit and more. Students will also learn how to properly size this ring for a perfect fit about every time!
